Wine tasting etiquette #34: How to congratulate a wine maker.

This can be prickly. When confronted with multiple winemakers at a portfolio show or other large public tasting, how do you let the best winemaker know that he or she is clearly better than the rest? I recommend pouring the spit bicket over the head of the annointed champion, much like you would the coach of a winning football team. This works best with Frenchmen as they lack virility and will appreciate the comparison to their gridiron betters.
